A message from

Monica Reineccius, MSN, RN
Director of Nursing and Clinical Practice

It is with pride that I reflect on the remarkable journey of our ambulatory departments toward nursing excellence. This is a celebration of the dedication, resilience, and innovation demonstrated by our teams in Endoscopy, Emergency Medicine, and Interventional Radiology (IR).

Throughout this journey, our staff have consistently exemplified the Magnet principles of transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, and innovation in nursing.

From implementing patient-centered workflows to advancing clinical competencies and safety protocols, each department has contributed meaningfully to our shared vision.

Endoscopy led efforts in procedural safety and patient comfort, integrating feedback loops and standard work to elevate the care experience.
Emergency demonstrated agility and excellence in high-acuity environments, maintaining readiness and resilience through staffing challenges and surge events.
IR embraced interdisciplinary collaboration and precision care, ensuring seamless coordination across specialties and departments.

What stands out most is the hard work and unwavering commitment of our nurses and support staff. Their engagement in programs and projects from data collection and shared governance to quality improvement has been inspiring.

In 2025, we opened a dedicated Ambulatory Treatment Center to decrease hospital stays and ED visits. The Ambulatory Treatment Center also helped reduce care variation and improve evidenced-based practices to ensure continuity of care. This achievement was possible because of a partnership with our hospital team.

Our nurses play an integral role in this work, and it is important to highlight every team member who contributes to this journey. I am honored by the collective effort that brought us here. Their work not only strengthens our Magnet designation journey, but it also transforms the lives of those we serve.
