A message from
I am proud to highlight our remarkable accomplishments of our Sacramento TPMG nursing and patient care teams. Our nurses have demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and innovation, driving improvements in patient care and professional development.
Throughout 2025, our Sacramento nursing professionals consistently exemplified outstanding skill, teamwork, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. By embracing evidence-based practices and nurturing a culture of safety and continuous improvement, our nurses have made a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Recognizing that outstanding care is rooted in continuous learning, we significantly invested in the professional growth of our nursing staff throughout 2025. Targeted initiatives were developed to address specific knowledge and skill gaps, empowering nurses to reach new heights in their practice. These investments have not only enhanced clinical capabilities but have also nurtured leadership and fostered a commitment to lifelong learning.
This year saw the successful launch of several innovative programs designed to support career advancement and ongoing education. The Hybrid Medical Assistant (MA) to Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) training program created valuable pathways for professional growth, enabling team members to expand their roles and contribute at higher levels of care.
A significant achievement this year involved advancing stroke care for patients presenting to the Sacramento Emergency Department with dizziness — an at-risk group for acute neurological conditions. Through targeted interventions, clinical teams improved the early recognition of potential stroke cases at admission and optimized the process for initiating stroke alerts to ensure timely and effective management. Consequently, the frequency of stroke alerts increased by an average of two to three per week, underscoring our dedication to prompt intervention and excellence in patient outcomes.
The Comprehensive Pain Department team has successfully streamlined the communication process between the Direct Oral Anticoagulant service and the Pain Department. This collaborative initiative ensures that patients are appropriately and promptly advised when to hold their anticoagulant medications. As a result, patients are now able to undergo procedures earlier, reducing delays and minimizing prolonged pain and discomfort. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and improving the care of patients across the continuum.
Throughout the year, our care teams have demonstrated a steadfast dedication to high standards in patient care, professional growth, and innovation. These accomplishments reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence and our vision for the future.
As we look ahead to 2026, we remain inspired by our accomplishments and committed to supporting one another and providing exceptional care to all those we serve. Together, we will continue to set new benchmarks for excellence in patient care, ensuring that our team remains a leader in compassionate and innovative healthcare delivery.
