DAISY & PETAL Program Recognition Wall

A brand new display case to showcase DAISY and PETAL awardees is revealed in the lobby of the Oakland Medical Center.

In a heartfelt celebration of compassion and excellence, the Oakland Medical Center unveiled a new display case in the main lobby in August 2025, dedicated to showcasing the monthly DAISY and PETAL award recipients. The unveiling ceremony brought together nurses, staff, and leadership to honor the individuals who exemplify extraordinary care and teamwork.

The DAISY Award recognizes nurses who go above and beyond in delivering compassionate care, while the PETAL Award celebrates outstanding staff members who deliver excellent, compassionate care for our members and community. Each month, photos and stories of the honorees are added to the display, creating a living tribute to the spirit of healing and dedication that defines our care teams.

The display case, positioned prominently in the main lobby, invites patients and visitors to learn about the criteria and nomination process for each program. It also serves as a source of pride and motivation for staff, reinforcing the values of empathy, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

As the months pass, the display will grow with photos of our nurses and staff that embody caring, kindness, and skill. The Oakland Medical Center is proud to honor its staff and celebrate the legacy they build, one patient at a time.
