Rachel Wyatt is a dynamic leader known for putting her nursing team and patients first. Rachel has a strong commitment to advancing the practice of nursing. She is currently leading the medical center’s Journey to Magnet® designation, developing a strong culture of evidence-based practice, and nurse-led research. Caring Science is a strong focus to improve the well-being of her staff, while improving patient outcomes.

Rachel first joined South Sacramento’s Patient Care Services management team in April 2018, when she was named Clinical Adult Services Director. She was later promoted to Interim Chief Nurse Executive in October of 2020. Prior to coming to Kaiser Permanente, she held

clinical director and executive director management roles within the Dignity Health system.

Rachel earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Hillsborough Community College in Plant City, FL; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix in Sacramento; a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from University of Phoenix in Sacramento; and Doctor of Nursing Practice, Executive Leadership, from University of San Francisco.

Her professional affiliations include the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) and American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
