Dr. Pavna Sloan is a healthcare executive leader with over 26 years of experience.  Pavna currently serves as the Chief Nurse Executive for Kaiser Permanente Oakland and Richmond Medical Centers in Northern California. Oakland Medical Center was the first established hospital in Kaiser Permanente and has 12 medical office buildings, 3,500 employees, and the largest RN Residency Training Program.  Oakland Medical Center is the flagship hospital with 16 subspecialities.  The Richmond Medical Center is the first acute care hospital serving the community in Contra Costa County.

Known for her collaboration and strong relationships with operational leaders, Pavna leads several key initiatives, including Patient Care Services Labor Productivity optimization and hiring/recruitment; Hospital Patient Safety, Care Quality and Care Experience; East Bay Magnet Hospital Application readiness; Hospital Flow Steering Committee; LeapFrog Safety Grade A for Oakland; and successful triennial survey by The Joint Commission.

Pavna has her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of San Francisco.  Her professional affiliations include membership with American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).  Pavna is Nurse Executive Board Certified (NEA-BC) and holds her clinical certification in Inpatient Nursing Obstetrics (RNC-OB).  She serves on the board for Girls Inc. for Alameda County (GIAC).
