Juanita Jularbal-Walton was named Chief Nurse Executive for the Vallejo Medical Center in March 2019. In her role, Juanita is responsible for leadership and oversight of nursing practice in a tertiary facility with 248 acute care beds. She is leading the first of 21 hospitals in Kaiser Permanente Northern California to apply and successfully submit for Magnet Designation.

Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 1992, Juanita has held roles with increasing responsibility leading clinical and non-clinical teams in medical centers across the Northern California region, including interim Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nurse Executive in South San Francisco; Interim Chief Nurse Executive in the East Bay, Clinical Adult Services Director in Antioch and Oakland; Administrative Service Director in Oakland; and Nurse Manager of the Respiratory Care Unit in Walnut Creek.

She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from University of San Francisco, a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Science, Nursing from St. Mary’s College, a Bachelor of Science, Physiology/Anatomy from University of California, Berkeley.

Juanita was previously an Outpatient Manager and Clinical Educator with Alta Bates Medical Resources in Berkeley.
