Espee Chavez, DNP, MSA, BSN, RN, serves as Chief Nurse Executive for Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center, providing strategic leadership for nursing practice, patient care delivery, quality and safety, workforce engagement, professional development, and operational excellence. With more than 30 years in healthcare, including over 20 years in nursing leadership.

Throughout her leadership career, Espee has led efforts to significantly improve patient care services, clinical outcomes, staff engagement, and patient care experience through applying lean management systems, developing high-performing teams, and creating sustainable practices that support safe, compassionate, high-quality care for patients.

Espee earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She later completed a Master of Science in Administration at California State University, Bakersfield, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC).
