
Chief Nurse Executive, Redwood City Medical Center
Daniel Ramberger, DNP, MS, RN, NEA-BC, is an experienced nurse leader with over 15 years in both clinical and administrative roles. Daniel joined Kaiser Permanente as Chief Nurse Executive of the Redwood City Medical Center in February 2025.
He began his nursing career in the Emergency Department (ED) in Memphis, Tennessee, before taking on travel assignments in Texas, Hawaii, and California. From 2012 to 2025, Daniel worked at Stanford Health Care, where he held various clinical and leadership positions in both the ED and inpatient settings. In 2019, he transitioned from the ED to serve as the Patient Care Manager for the Advanced Lung Disease inpatient unit. Most recently, Daniel held the role of Director of Clinical Services, overseeing patient care in Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Trauma, GI Surgery, and Transplant services.
In addition to his leadership roles, Daniel is a faculty member at UCSF’s School of Nursing, where he teaches leadership courses in the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership (MS-HAIL) program.
Throughout his nursing leadership career, Daniel has spearheaded numerous initiatives focused on enhancing quality, patient experience, and employee engagement.
Daniel holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from UCSF. He is Board Certified in Nursing Leadership (NEA-BC) and holds a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. He is also active in professional organizations, including the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), and Sigma Theta Tau.
