Chief Nurse Executive, Antioch Medical Center
Christina (Tina) Geis, MBA, MSN, RN, was named Chief Nurse Executive at the Antioch Medical Center in 2024. She brings 22 years of experience in Nursing with the last 15 years in Nursing and Clinical Leadership.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland and a Master of Business in Health Care Administration from California Coast University in Santa Ana, California. In 2014, she received certification as a Performance Improvement Advisor through the Kaiser Permanente Performance Improvement Institute, a journey she began prior to ever considering nursing as a professional pathway. Her Lean/Six Sigma affinity began with her first aspiration career goals of being an engineer. After almost 2 years in pursuit of that goal, she found herself without purpose and inspiration, requiring significant reflection and internal exploration which thus led to the transition to health care and specifically nursing.
Throughout her career at Kaiser Permanente, she has held multiple leadership roles at all levels of the organization, beginning as an Assistant Nurse Manager, transitioned into RN Manager, then RN Director, and most recently spent the last 6 years working for The Permanente Medical Group, as an Associate Chief Administrative Officer, where she was able to partner directly with the CNE/COO at the Walnut Creek Medical Center to improve and elevate the quality and service for our members.
Her background in nursing leadership has led her to oversee a diverse array of specialties including, Maternal Child Health, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Physical Therapy, Emergency Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology and Cardiology, and functional roles such as Threat Management, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity, and Family Violence Prevention.
Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and three boys, Brayden, Nolan, and Zackary. They enjoy spending time outdoors, watching/playing sports, and their 2 French bulldogs, Kona and Loki.
