The inaugural Northern California Nursing Research and Innovation Conference was a vibrant showcase of nurse‑driven initiatives, bringing together over 50 research and evidence‑based practice (EBP) posters, some of whom were presenting for the very first time.
Multi-site studies inform nursing practice across region
Kaiser Permanente nurses at all practice levels are encouraged to engage in practice scholarship such as utilizing Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and research scholarship to improve the delivery and quality of care. One way to be encourage our nurses is to have them be involved in a multi-site study.

Mental Health Scholars Academy awarded R.J. Erickson Award
The Mental Health Scholars Academy is a $30 million project to train new mental health professionals in California. The academy offers tuition support, mentoring, and networking to KP employees who want to become therapists, counselors, or social workers.
Nurse‑led program enhances skills for robotic surgery
Kaiser Permanente Northern California is at the forefront of surgical innovation, with nurses and surgical technologists (STs) playing a pivotal role in advancing robotic surgery, which offers benefits for patients, including smaller incisions, reduced pain, and faster recovery times.
