We are inspired by the over 28,000 nurses and nurse practitioners who, collectively, have elevated our nursing practice, reaching remarkable new heights as evident throughout the 2024 Annual Nursing Report.
Leading with Purpose, our nursing theme in 2024, powerfully embodies the incredible spirit, dedication, and compassion of Kaiser Permanente Northern California nurses and their profound commitment to delivering exceptional care and improving clinical outcomes for our members and communities.
We continue to make great strides along our journey to achieve Magnet designation at all 21 medical centers, with Santa Rosa joining Vallejo and South Sacramento in achieving this esteemed honor. In medical centers across the region, nurses from the cardiac catheterization laboratory, interventional radiology, gastroenterology, and inpatient units are building their Magnet framework, strengthening shared governance, and fostering engagement.
The expansion of our nursing workforce is a testament to our growth and commitment to delivering outstanding patient experiences and improving outcomes.
Nurses are demonstrating their commitment to excellence by sharing insights on professional development, innovative care, evidence-based practice, and the integration of emerging technologies at conferences, including the Practice of Excellence Conference and the inaugural Northern California Nursing Research and Innovation Conference.
These achievements and many more highlighted throughout this report are only possible because of our shared commitment to nursing excellence and fulfilling our mission to improve the health and wellness of our members and the communities we serve.
To all Kaiser Permanente nurses: Thank you for Leading with Purpose, and for your commitment to delivering on the promise of providing extraordinary nursing care to every patient, every time.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.
