Their music and cultured performance brought smiles to patients and staff alike, lifting spirits throughout the day.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2469 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_CareCouncil_MusicTherapy_3-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The magic extended into patient care services, where soulful saxophone melodies filled the air, a volunteer\u2019s heartfelt singing resonated with joy, and children of nurses and staff shared snacks, spreading warmth and cheer. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">One nurse shared, &#8220;Just hearing the music made me forget about work\u2014it was the mental recharge I needed.&#8221; Several patients were so moved that they requested private performances to experience the healing power of music in the comfort of their rooms.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This event was a beautiful reminder that music therapy fills the soul, fostering well-being and connection within the hospital. Special thanks to our Caring Council, <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Val Bartolomucci BSN, RN<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> led by Care Experience Leader <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lisa Giusto,<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and to <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Juanita Jularbal-Walton DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC<\/span><\/b><span
