These 8-hour sessions continued every other month with a focus on building the basic infrastructure for the Coordinating Council and\u00a0 4 Core Councils: Patient Experience\/Caring Science\/ EID; Quality &amp; Safety; Professional Development; EBP\/Research\/Innovation.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1881 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-300x118.jpg\" alt=\"large group of nurses\" width=\"473\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-1024x402.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-768x301.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-1536x603.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/nursingncal.kaiserpermanente.org\/annual-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/SE_NPG_PG-Meeting-2048x803.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/>Nursing Quarterly Strategic Meetings<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Led by Chief Nurse Executive Pavna Sloan, DNP, MSN, RNC-OB, NEA-BC and her leadership team, nursing strategy meetings were developed to provide a deeper dive into the KP pillars and provide opportunities for engagement and collaboration across the Oakland Medical Center. Leaders from all areas had the opportunity to share and receive input around initiatives and participants engaged in activities to improve operational outcomes. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Creative Representation of Oakland Nursing<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW233642124 BCX8\">Over<\/span> 16 years ago, Meliza <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW233642124 BCX8\">Ambunan, RN, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">started in the nurse residency program <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW233642124 BCX8\">in Labor and Delivery <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">at Kaiser Permanente <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW233642124 BCX8\">Oakland Medical Center<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">.\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">For the last 7 years, she has collaboratively worked with her brother who is a designer<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">She thought this would be a fun opportunity to partner <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">with him<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\"> and <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">come up with<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\"> something creative that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">represents<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\"> the Oakland nursing community (above) that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW233642124 BCX8\">she\u2019s<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW233642124 BCX8\">proudly been<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun
