The Patient Care Services team has been on a purposeful journey to strengthen and advance patient safety practices throughout the medical center. Witnessing the pride and joy among our leaders as their hard work was recognized underscored the dedication, collaboration, and perseverance that shaped this success. Special recognition goes to Colin Fosgate, BSN, RN, CCRN, PHN, Judelyn Cadavona-Bala, MSN, RN, and Sumitpal Kaur, MSN, RN. Their leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence continue to elevate the quality of care provided to our patients.
Several key initiatives contributed to this achievement. Quality hourly rounding played a central role, supporting proactive patient engagement and contributing to more than 120 days without a fall significant accomplishment reflecting disciplined and consistent nursing practice. In addition, the outstanding efforts of our Patient Care Technicians through the mobility team initiative strengthened patient mobility, safety, and overall outcomes. These initiatives represent the collective dedication of our nursing and support teams, all working toward a shared goal of harm prevention.
Congratulations to everyone involved. Your passion for patient safety and your unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care truly embody the mission and values of nursing at Richmond.
