The Caring Calling Card project was developed by Carol Amadeo, EdD, MSN, RN, CM-BC, Patient Care Coordinator Case Manager (PCCCM), with design support from consultant Katie Minke of Public Affairs and administrative assistance from Nicole Williams, who manages ordering and availability for the department.
This initiative began after a meaningful encounter with a trauma patient who, following compassionate care, requested a business card to maintain connection with the Patient Care Coordinator Case Manager. Inspired by this, Caring Calling Cards were created to foster personalized, dignified communication between patients and care coordinators. The cards allow PCCCMs to write messages, sign their name, and provide contact information for themselves and the Continuity of Care department, empowering patients and families while responding to requests for a business card.
Introduced during September 2025 Care Experience Week, Caring Calling Cards are now available to all PCCCMs, with two design options offered to support patient-centered care and strengthen relationships.
