Richmond nurses came together for a dedicated Safety Showcase on July 18, 2025, highlighting the shared commitment to protecting both our patients and each other. This event provided an important opportunity for nurses across units to exchange best practices, reinforce safety principles, and explore new tools that support safe, high-quality care.

Nurses shared practical strategies to prevent pressure injuries, patient and staff injuries, infections, and slips, trips, and falls all critical elements in maintaining a safe care environment. Demonstrations of new and updated safety equipment allowed staff to familiarize themselves with tools designed to enhance patient handling, mobility assistance, and overall workplace safety.

This collaborative gathering exemplified Richmond’s strong culture of safety, where continuous learning, communication, and shared accountability play a central role. By coming together, nurses strengthened connections across teams, increased awareness of risk-reduction strategies, and reinforced the belief that every individual contributes to safer care.
