Cherie Stagg, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Executive, launched a transformative shift in leadership culture by inviting Cristina Stathopoulos, ADN, RN, a frontline RN Quality Liaison (RNQL), to participate in the Annual Napa-Solano Area Executive off-site. This groundbreaking decision set new standards for including frontline staff in executive meetings, fostering greater collaboration and inclusivity throughout the organization. 

The “Boots on the Ground” themed meeting provided organizational leaders with a unique opportunity to expand their holistic approach to leadership. By seamlessly integrating caring science with authentic reflection, gratitude, and self-care, the meeting cultivated an environment where empathy and well-being were prioritized alongside operational excellence. Leaders were encouraged to look beyond traditional metrics and dashboards, recognizing that true progress in healthcare is achieved not only through data, but through meaningful engagement with those who deliver care at the bedside.
